Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Craftfolio ("the App") is an Android notebook for creative workshops: it keeps cards about equipment, materials and projects, with notes, photos, web links and links between cards.
1. Data stored on your device
Everything you enter stays on your phone, in the App's private storage:
- Cards — titles, notes, web links and the links between cards, with their creation and update dates.
- Photos — only the photos you choose from the gallery or take with the camera for a card. The App keeps a copy, reduced to at most 2048 pixels per side. It never reads other photos on your phone.
- To-do items — what you write in the "To do" list, including, if you enter them, the name and contact details (phone, email, Instagram) of the people you work for. You are responsible for having their permission to note them.
- Backup settings — if you turn on the backup: the email address of the Google account you chose and the date of the last backup.
Nothing of this is ever sent to us: we have no servers.
2. Backup to Google Drive (optional)
If you turn on the backup, you sign in with your Google account and allow the App to use its own hidden folder on your Google Drive (permission drive.appdata). The App then copies your cards and photos into that folder, directly from your phone to Google over an encrypted connection.
- The App can access only that folder: it cannot see or change any other file on your Drive.
- The backup is stored in your Google account and counts towards your Drive storage. We cannot access it.
- From Google Sign-In the App receives your name and email address; it keeps only the email address, on the phone, to show which account is connected.
- Google processes these data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Purchases
The full version is sold through Google Play, as a yearly subscription or a lifetime purchase. Payments are handled entirely by Google; we never receive or store any payment information. The App only asks Google Play whether you own the full version and keeps that answer on the phone.
4. Data we do not collect
- No accounts or registration with us
- No analytics or crash reporting services
- No advertising
- No location data
5. Permissions
- INTERNET — for the backup to Google Drive and to check purchases with Google Play.
- BILLING — to offer the full version through Google Play.
- USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT — declared by a component of Google Sign-In; the App never asks for your fingerprint or face.
The App needs no camera or storage permission: photos are taken with your camera app and chosen with the Android photo picker, which give the App only the photos you select.
6. Web links and contacts
Web links saved in a card open in your browser or in the matching app (for example YouTube), under the privacy policy of that site or app. The buttons next to a contact open your phone, WhatsApp, email or Instagram app; the App sends nothing itself.
7. Retention and deletion
- Deleting a card deletes its photos too.
- Uninstalling the App, or clearing its data in Android Settings → Apps → Craftfolio → Storage, deletes everything on the phone.
- To delete the backup: on drive.google.com open Settings → Manage apps → Craftfolio → Options → Delete hidden app data. To stop backups, choose Disconnect on the App's Backup page; you can also remove the App's access at myaccount.google.com/connections.
8. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
10. Contact
For any question about this policy, write to support@craftfolio.it.
Informativa sulla privacy
Ultimo aggiornamento: 4 ottobre 2026
